I’m not sure who invented it, but the dishwasher is truly an amazing thing. You load it up, put it in a capsule, close the door- and then in relatively short order you open the door to find your dishes and silverware, all sparkly, shiny and clean. Same thing with popcorn makers (sorta?).
Unfortunately, there’s no such instant gratification in selling a house. Preparing the house for sale, navigating an uncertain market, targeting buyers, strategizing, negotiating a deal, appeasing an appraiser, tempering expectations, dealing with the other side - this all takes stamina, experience, and the finesse of a well-seasoned team. Like mine.
The best thing I ever did was install two dishwashers in our house for double the instant gratification. And the best thing you can do is enlist my team to bring you steps closer to that amazing feeling that happens when you push the button and the job is done.

The Taste of Chicago returns this year—but at a later date than usual. The annual food and music festival is now being held in September instead of its usual first weekend of July (because NASCAR!). The three-day event will feature more than 35 vendors and 15 food trucks, plus musical performances by singer-songwriter Lupita Infante, mariachi group Mariachi Sirenas and the Masters of the Mic: Hip Hop 50 tour. Attendees can also check out a craft brews fest, take dance lessons courtesy of Chicago SummerDance and show off their vocals in a karaoke competition.
