It’s been one of those mornings. After waking up early, I politely asked Siri to play WFMT - an easy, non-threatening request. But after a few attempts with no response, I grew increasingly mad and frustrated, demanding that this damn household machine taking up space on my kitchen countertop play my favorite radio station. Still no response. I raised my voice and even started calling her nasty expletives. This is my house, after all, and I should be able to listen to WFMT.
But then I realized why she wasn’t responding: she’s Alexa. Duh. I assume there is a bitter rivalry between Alexa and Siri, and Alexa was having none of it; she was in no mood to do Siri’s dirty work by capitulating to my seemingly reasonable demand.
These are the times we live in, my friends.
But I have another reasonable request that neither Siri nor Alexa can help with.
You see, I’ve been nominated by Chicago Agent Magazine as the real estate MVP for the City of Chicago. Although in Brad’s ideal world, I would have been nominated for an Emmy for best talk show host, my career path has taken me in a different - yet completely satisfying - direction.
So, if you’ve enjoyed my weekly messages, if my group and I have helped you buy or sell a home - or even if you’ve savored my noodle kugel, please take a moment to vote for me. You can even vote a bunch of times until October 20th (this is Chicago, after all). Click on the link below.
With your help, I will hopefully redeem myself with Alexa and music will return to my household.

Have a great weekend!
Best,
Brad
