Into the weekend!

I’m just going to say out loud what everyone’s been thinking to themselves for a while now: Is it finally ok to listen to, love, and dance to Michael Jackson music again? I’ll confess that I secretly inserted “Wanna Be Startin’Something” recently in one of my playlists. 

 

Sometimes the beat gets to you and you can’t let go.

 

Same thing in real estate. Some features once deemed taboo have a way of clinging to your heart even though they're not supposed to. One client secretly admitted to me that they love turrets. Another said that they have an affinity for McMansions because they grew up in one. With fake brick. I now have a buyer who is dismissing anything open-concept and insisting on having a large formal living room for show, even though they know they’ll never use it. 

 

Vessel sinks? I say (reluctantly) go for it if you love them. The same goes for maple cabinets and cherry floors. Install them with abandon. Eyeing an impractical split-level? Buy it, especially if there are two or three sub-terranean levels that will freak most people out. 

 

You love vertical blinds because they just, well, work? Put 'em in, I dare you. If Uba Tuba granite counters make you feel all warm and fuzzy for some (odd) reason, then your kitchen will feel the same way. Avocado appliances? Damn it, do it! 

 

Hell, my sister just installed a trash compactor, of all things. And, yes, they still sell them.

 

The point is that you don’t owe me or anyone anything. Go with your heart. No matter what, I’ll be by your side and “Rock With You” every step of the way.
