In one of my favorite movies, “Crossing Delancey,” Sylvia Miles plays Hannah Mandelbuam, a real live matchmaker determined to match up Isabelle - a reluctant young “modern” woman - with a nice Jewish boy, Sam “the pickle man” from the neighborhood. Although I won’t divulge any spoilers, it turns out that Hannah Mandelbaum (who is always eating, sometimes with broasted chicken falling out of her mouth) knows what’s best for Isabelle - even before Isabelle realizes it herself.
So, consider me your own personal Hannah Mandelbaum of Chicago real estate.
As I work with buyers and sellers, sometimes finding, selling, and creatively strategizing your next move, I may make suggestions which may at first seem out of the box, curious, or even extraordinary. I find things on the market and off the market (and sometimes way off the market) - and I often match up buyers and sellers even before they realize it’s the perfect match. This gives me great pleasure.
But please know that I will always have your best interests at heart, even before you may know it yourself.
Have a great holiday weekend!

Return for a walk on the 606 Trail
|
It may have been a while since you walked on the 606 Trail (AKA the Bloomingdale Trail), but it's time to return and see how the trees and other foliage has grown. The 606 takes visitors 2.7 miles across an elevated train track turned pedestrian walkway.
Multiple stairways are scattered from start to finish, allowing you to roam around the eclectic neighborhoods along the way. A House transportation bill proposes to extend the Trail to Elston, east of the Kennedy, and long (long) term plans envision it extending all the way downtown. Until then,
make sure to stop at the renowned Stenson Brewing Company along the way.

Nestled within Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, this free museum provides an exciting, educational insight into Mexican and Latin American culture.
With a collection covering some 9,000 pieces of art spanning from ancient Mexico to present modern times, the National Museum of Mexican Art proudly showcases one of the country’s largest Mexican art collections.
