Unlike so many who will seize every opportunity to elevate their birthday to almost national holiday status, I prefer to keep a low profile. I barely mention it, keeping it under the radar and staying oh so cool.
Even though this is one of those rare years when my actual birthday happens to fall at the same time “Into the Weekend” hits your inbox (which, as we know, is every week’s most sacred moment), I’m still going to resist temptation and barely mention my birthday.
Even though this cherished e-blast is sent to thousands and thousands of fans. I mean people.
But, yes, for those who are still not sure: it’s today. My birthday, that is.
And even though I truly have everything a man could ask for (boy, do I feel blessed!), I don’t want to (overtly) encourage you to even think about sending me a (very) expensive gift which I might really enjoy anyway and which might just tilt the pendulum and represent how much I mean to you. I’m not that kind of guy. Truly.
Your friendship is all I really need.
But, even so, I could use a new laptop, a 2026 Porsche Macan (mine’s a 2015!!) (electric would be nice - and environment-friendly!), anything Cartier, a private plane (even a fractional ownership arrangement would be acceptable), and live-in help (with massage training and certification, of course). Or if you (are cheap and) want to consider something just a bit less extravagant, perhaps consider the La Mazocca Linea Mini coffee maker which retails for only about $6,600 (a really great upgrade from the Braun I currently use).
Unfortunately, there’s no more space in this week’s column to talk that much about real estate. Alas.
So have a great weekend and enjoy my birthday, however you celebrate!
Best,
Brad
P.S. The above photos were taken last night when the entire BLG team took me out for a celebratory dinner. At dinner, Yoni gave me a hardcover book of all my Into the Weekend columns, which you can look at HERE.
