Well, ladies and gentlemen, a curveball has been thrown at us. Just as it seemed that complaining-about-the-weather season was well underway, we now have this: a gorgeous sunny 70-77 degree weekend ahead of us here in Chicago, the city we love.
I’m not sure why they’re doing this to us. It’s supposed to be way overcast with frigid temperatures, and rain and sleet with hints of snow, right? We’re supposed to commiserate together - with family and friends - about how horrible it is here and what a long winter it will be. Traditionally at this time, we lament our fate living in America’s heartland, and we adopt our mean personas as we curse our forefathers and mothers for settling their wagons in this godforsaken place. That’s the kind of misery we know and love.
So, what to do NOW? Have a picnic in the park? Take a walk with your loved one along the beach? Ride your bike to the farmer’s market? Uh, ok, sure.
Maybe just throw up your hands and buy a new home, dammit.
Just make sure you apply sunscreen.
