A lot happened this week: snow, stock market up, economy up, mortgage rates down a bit, mayoral debates, gas up a bit, inflation tapered… some optimism in the air going into the Spring Market. Certainly, we have a lot of fun and fabulous listings in the pipeline, no matter your price-point or preferences.
But the main news of the week is the resolution of something that has been front and center in all of our minds for about 10 ten days now: I found my AirPods.
I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers; I felt the love. The AirPods were found safe and sound hiding behind a box of macaroni and cheese. With a good charge boost, the world will be back to normal once again.
With this bit of good news and collective relief, I hope you have a great weekend!

Hansel and Gretel at the Lyric Opera
|
When this universally cherished production of Hansel and Gretel debuted 20 years ago, it captivated Chicago audiences. It did the same in 2012, and this season it returns again by popular demand. This rivetingly modern, astonishingly inventive view of the Brothers Grimm's fairytale features an eye-popping production that does full justice to Humperdinck's glorious score. You'll be rooting for Hansel and Gretel at every moment in their battle against the witch in the massive, industrial-strength kitchen, and you'll be moved by the "Dream Ballet." From the exquisite "Evening Prayer" to the uproarious "Witch's Ride," this ever-fresh, whimsical masterpiece is packed with musical gems that make it a wonderful introduction to opera for audiences of all ages.
Sung in German with projected English with a r
unning time of 2 hours 20 minutes with 1 intermission.
