Into the weekend...

As someone who recently had difficulty finding the phone number of 1800flowers.com, I’ll admit that not everything is always obvious to me. I also have trouble with the variations of smiley face emojis.

 

But when it comes to staging a home to attract the most buyers possible, I get what will make it stand out - and what won’t. Even though it’s not always an easy equation, my team and I can evaluate the potential rewards against the investment of time and money to garner the best possible return for our sellers.

 

Is it worth it to change the kitchen countertops? Gut the entire kitchen? Paint over the “designer” sponge painting in the powder room (it almost always is)? Replace the office furniture with a nursery set-up? Install new decking or restain the existing one? Throw out the drapes? The ugly valances too? What about stripping the ceiling of glow-in-the-dark stars and planets? Putting your prominently displayed egg cup collection in storage?

 

These are conundrums for most of our sellers, but not for us. We know what works and what’s worth the investment. And in the end, we stay true to our primary goal: to maximize our seller’s return.
