When you look at one of our listings, you can ask me about almost anything: the age of the mechanicals, the history of special assessments, why there’s no warming drawer in the kitchen, the size of the storage locker, whether the hardwood floors are original, why the seller didn’t install hardwood floors, how much will new counters cost, when the roof was last replaced, the age of the boiler, and what the hell geothermal heat is.
You can even ask me where I got my sweater, who my dentist is, and where the best Italian beef in the city is.
But the things you absolutely cannot ask me about are who lives in the building and who the neighbors are. This happens to me constantly. This is an absolute no-no and in violation of fair housing laws. And for good reason - it shouldn't matter.
Just please keep your questions directed to me meaningful. And legal.

St. Patrick's Day Dyeing of the River
|
One of the city's most beloved and well-known and colorful traditions is set to take place this weekend: The Chicago River dyeing in honor of St. Patrick's Day.
Typically, the dyeing of the Chicago River by Local 130, the Chicago Plumbers Union, occurs the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day and coincides with the city's with the St. Patrick's Day Parade. And according to officials, this year will be no different.
According to organizers, the Chicago River will be dyed green beginning at 10 a.m. on Sat., Mar. 11, between State Street and Columbus Drive. And at 12:30 p.m., the St. Patrick's Day parade will step off.
While the river dyeing begins at 10 a.m., you may want to get to the river, between Columbus and State by 9 a.m. get your spot.
The best views can be found on Upper Wacker Drive between Columbus and Fairbanks.
If you plan to celebrate at home, you can still watch the big event, as NBC 5 will also stream it live.

The 2023 Big Ten men's basketball tournament is under way at the United Center. All 14 Big Ten schools (remember, the Big 10 is often referred to as "The Conference that Can't Count!) participate in the tournament. Teams were seeded by conference record, with a tiebreaker system used to seed teams with identical conference records. The top 10 teams received a first round bye and the top four teams received a double bye.
